Designers Are Obsessed With These 10 Tonic Living Items
Want to shop like a designer? We're giving you a peek behind the curtain at what fabric, decor and pillows our trade clients can't get enough of. Here are the items that will help you get a designer look in your home from Tonic Living.
Tuscany Linen, Oatmeal Slub is the clear favorite among designers and decorators. It's the perfect neutral with fantastic texture and makes the most beautiful drapes and Romans.
This summer, designers have flocked to the classic nautical stripe Bridgewater Lumbar for cottages and other projects. Its small size makes it the perfect finishing touch. It was so popular that we also made it into a 20" square.
Our cube ottomans are very popular with designers and the Rodin Stripe has been one of the most versatile, fitting into spaces from modern to farmhouse. Our handmade tassels add personality and give them that coveted decorator's finish.
Designers tell us most of their clients want large neutral rugs, so they love picking up our vintage runners to add character and warm layers to neutral spaces.
Brass, nickel or black... there is no wrong answer—but hands down, black drapery hardware is the most popular with our design folk. It anchors soft drapery and always looks classic.
When we released the Avalon Stripe Pillow in Ebony, there wasn't a lot of fanfare—but over a few months we noticed they started flying out the door and popping up on Instagram accounts. We think the classic black and white stripe mixed with a high-performance fabric was the clincher.
The IKEA-hacked foam bench cushion that started it all! We made this custom for Erin Broege and her Instagram set it on fire, prompting us to add it as a stock item and create a whole collection of foam bench cushions. We've even seen decorators strap them to the walls as backrests in kitchen banquettes.
When our blue velvet pillows go out of stock, decorators do not hold their feelings in—we hear about it! Valentina, Ink is our most coveted shade of velvet and when the bolts start getting low, there's a mild panic!
This fabric surprised us! We didn't anticipate the popularity or need for a patterned, cotton window treatment option. Shelby, Bluegrass has been turned into the sweetest roman blinds and drapery. Stay tuned, we are bringing in two more colorways.
Designers and decorators love to pile pillows onto a bed (much to the confusion of some spouses) and the Austin Extra Long Lumbar is what designers have been asking for. It's an extra wide lumbar to sit in front and finish the look.
So there you have it! We hope you enjoyed this peek behind the curtain at what designers love purchasing from Tonic Living. Happy shopping!
