We’re thrilled to be featured in the October 2025 issue of Real Simple magazine, showcasing the 2025 REAL SIMPLE Home - an annual design event that brings together some of today’s most inspiring interiors creators. This year’s project took place at One Park Row in Lower Manhattan, where each room of the penthouse was reimagined by a different designer, including Drew Michael Scott of Lone Fox, Alvin Wayne, Noz Nozawa, and even a space designed by Drew Barrymore herself!

A Loungy Den & Games Room by Alexandra Gater
Toronto-based designer Alexandra Gater infused her “Loungy Den & Games Room” with cozy character and vintage-inspired charm. Without a built-in fireplace, she cleverly created one by hanging a wooden mantel and painting it to look like stone - an idea that immediately grounds the room. She chose an antique-rug-inspired wallpaper, a richly patterned print that sets the tone and color palette for the entire space.
A Rich, Earthy Palette
Alexandra’s color story layers plum, dusty blush, and cocoa brown with notes of ochre, taupe, and soft ivory, echoing the warmth of aged textiles. The mix of velvet upholstery, warm wood, and brass accents creates a look that feels both nostalgic and fresh. To build even more depth and visual interest, she incorporated Tonic Living pillows in complementary tones and patterns to add texture and a collected, lived-in layer to the space, including the Kalida 22x22 Pillow, Walnut, Astrid 20x20 Pillow, Natural; Harriet Check 14x20 Lumbar, Espresso, and Arren Stripe 20x20 Pillow, Burlap.
